Jael

Jael
Wife of Heber the Kenite (Judg. 4:17); she invited Sisera, commander of the Canaanite army of King Jabin of Hazor, into her tent as he fled from the battle in defeat. While he was sleeping, she drove a tent-peg into his temple. The exploit gave Israel protection from the Canaanites and is memorably celebrated in the song of Deborah, a prophetess who had lent her support to the victorious campaign (Judg. 5:24–31).
